  1. EJ Ravensbud from Canada writes: NHL sucking more bucks out of Winnipeg. The hockey game will be garbage. Don't go Folks.
  2. Flames Forever from Canada writes: I would rather have the Flames face the Jets from Winnipeg in Winnipeg.
  3. Ziad Fazel from Calgary, Canada writes: With Teemu Selanne, Randy Carlisle, and Dale Hawerchuk playing for the Jets. And Phil Russell, Lanny McDonald, and Jim Peplinski wearing the Flaming C.
  4. D G from Canada writes: One of Bertuzzi's former teams and his current team. How are they billing this game? Classless and Classlesser?
  5. Terry Terry from Brantford, Canada writes: A little salt in the wounds for the 'peg. Are the Habs going to play the Avalanche in Quebec?
  6. Derek Holtom from Swan River, Canada writes: big bucks to watch a meaningless hockey game
wpg might as well go watch - it's the best they'll get anytime soon.
and btw Winnipegers you have two junior A hockey teams who play in your city all winter. Plenty of players from that league go onto the college and even NHL ranks. they never get much more than their family and girlfriends out to watch. you're missing some pretty decent (and relatively cheap) hockey entertainment. do yourself a favour - check it out
  7. A. McDonough from Canada writes: Who cares about Phoenix and Calgary? We've got Finger and Hollweg! I smell a parade.
  8. j wilson from vancouver, Canada writes: Bertuzzi rocks. That was a clean hit. Two minutes, tops.
  9. ZED NOTE from DYLAN, Canada writes: Screw you NHL!! I live in winnipeg and I will never EVER attend a slap in the face like this...
  10. R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: As a Haligonian, I was pleased to see the Habs, Wings and Bruins all coming to our town this fall...

And some Winnipegers seem angry about this... What gives ?

BTW The Habs did play the Avalanche a few years ago in Quebec City... It was a sell out, I believe.

Ravensbud, do you still have that man crush on Krusty the Coach?
  11. R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: Ravensbud:

    I really don't get you...

You seem to hate hockey, but you absolutely love Krusty the Coach...

    Something doesn't add up.
  12. Brenton E. from Canada writes: the dogs finally get to play in front of a passionite, knowledgeable full house. It might even help convince the money losers in Ariz to come back home, that is if home will have them.
  13. R. Carriere from Maritimes, Canada writes:

Why the tease? All that game will be is a no-hitter like the allstar game hockey...with few all-stars.

I think Winnipeg could now support an NHL team. the greater city has over 700,000 and the economy is rolling along just fine in the indutrial and commodities. Could the MTS center support a team with only 15,015 seats? The seat prices would be astronomical!

Good luck! It would be great to get a team back in Canada-and maybe 2 more in Quebec City and Hamilton......
  14. slapdash dapoint from trawna, Canada writes: any other team but but the 'yotes and this wouldn't be such a kick in the junk...

    good idea, brutal execution.

it would be nice to see a packed house bring a team back, but everyone knows that's not gonna happen.
  15. The Pen Is Mightier from Canada writes: Yeah this game is quite a slap in the face. We want a real team back...not just some pre-season crap once a year. Canada is where the hockey market is. Stupid Bettman. Lets get someone in office who puts hockey where the fans are.
  16. M Poland from Calgary, Canada writes: Hooray for Phil Russell! Ta for mentioning that, Ziad.
  17. Paul Bayer from Calgary, Canada writes: C'mon Peggers !!! Get out and buy some tickets. Wounds should have healed by now.
