Pathologists appeal to Ottawa for help

Canada's medical laboratories will continue to deliver a patchwork of inconsistent results with critical cancer tests unless the federal government steps in to help regulate labs and check their accuracy, the president of the Canadian Association of Pathologists said Wednesday. The association has spent eight months investigating how to solve quality problems that have led to a spate of incorrect test results at labs across the country.
