Dershowitz hired as Black seeks new hearing

Alan Dershowitz has carved out a reputation as the reigning lawyer of last resort by successfully defending such celebrity clients as O. J. Simpson and Claus von Bulow.Now Mr. Dershowitz wants to defend Canada's most famous white-collar criminal, Conrad Black. The 69-year-old Harvard University law professor has been hired as a consultant to Lord Black's legal team, which yesterday filed a petition for a new hearing from a U.S. Court of Appeal.
