  1. D G from Canada writes: These photos are much ado about nothing. I don't see why the coach felt she had to resign.
  2. A A from Canada writes: Dropping your pants down for a picture at Parliament probably does not constitute a form of art. I can see how this would offend some.

You figure in this digital age of photography that people would be more careful about the pictures they take.

Tough lesson to learn. I feel sorry for this person.
  3. Michael Sharp from Victorious, Canada writes:

At the BC/Winnipeg game I was extremely impressed with the BC cheerleaders.

Athletic, lithe, full of energy, personable.

My friend and I decided the blond in the middle had the nicest rear-end, bar none.

    Shake those pom-poms!
  4. smelter rat from Canada writes: The Bombers should have reassigned her to the quarterback position.
  5. mighty conan from Calgary, Canada writes: The pictures aren't even that racy. They're party pictures of young women obviously enjoying the lifestyle, the travel & attention they get where ever they go. Big Whoop... Most if not all of the ladies concerned have left the squad, they're reported elsewhere as having been around in 2005. The team would have been better served by making sure the shenannigans were kept to a dull roar & not recorded. No reason why the coach should have to take it in the neck.
  6. Another Opinion from Canada writes: Nobody told me that dropping my drawers in public would ruin my boss's career! I wish I had known this years ago!
  7. Jim Ray from GTA, Canada writes: I think the cheerleaders involved should be arrested. We need to set a strong example that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated in the world of professional sports. I mean, what's next? Professional athletes having intercourse out of wedlock? Experimenting with cannibas? This is a slippery slope people.
  8. Another Opinion from Canada writes: naked cheerleader bums... slippery slope...

    There's a punchline there somewhere.
  9. Michael Tripper from Vancouver, Canada writes: what a bunch of puritan nonsense.

    prudes begone!
  10. Jude Hannaford from Canada writes: What a joke, as they giggle away, one person moons the camera all in good fun resulting in one person losing their job. I find that so incredibly hard to believe. Whoever is offended by such a harmless little bit of skin needs to give their head a shake and worry about the truly offensive and not some young lady showing a little what's she's got.
  11. Beer and Popcorn from Canada writes:
What is wrong with a few cheerleaders having some fun!?

This has at least brought some interest to a football team who is thus far been unwatchable this season - they should all be promoted.
  12. R B from Vancouver, Canada writes: "A spokesman for the Bombers is downplaying questions about the pictures, saying the team wants to focus on Thursday's home game against the B.C. Lions." Hmmm, this could be a problem, since the Lions aren't showing up in Wpg on Thursday. Maybe this is why they're 0-4?
  13. R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: Hey, Ravensbud:

    Don't kid yourself...

The real reason that this poor girl resigned was the disgrace over the fact that the Blue Bombers are 0-4...

    Cheers
  14. boom boom from Canada writes: Wasn't that Celine Dion in the picture?
  15. Mary Martin from Edmonton, Canada writes: C'mon guys, what were you thinking of? Let's show a little more professionalism and a little less skin. Remember, there are kids watching. Your mother must be very proud of you. I don't think the coach should have resigned but I do thing the young ladies (and I use the term loosely,) should have gotten into trouble.
  16. R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: Celine Who ?
  17. Martyn Whitt from Canada writes: Thought Jim Ray had the post of the day then Mary Martin comes in and I don't know what to believe anymore-darn confusing! Deep down I think I side with Mary Martin, but Jim Ray is funnier.

Will say this, more posts on this one than any other CFL story for a while.
  18. Hap Stokes from Canada writes: So what's wrong with mooning Ottawa anyway?
  19. Wally Grisold from Toronto, Canada writes: Gee that's the most skin shown in Winterpeg since they had the Commonwealth Games way back when the Rhythmic Gymnastics caused a big row.
  20. K Anderson from The Cape, Canada writes: Big deal. None of the pictures are any reason for the flap nor for the coach to resign.

Besides that wasn't even a real moon!

    No story here.
  21. R. M. from Regina, Canada writes: Too funny. At first the Bombers said these were old pictures and the issue had been dealt with. Seems to me this team would be a good fit for Ottawa where they lie all the time anyway. If the coach was not involved with the pics, then she stays. If not, I guess she goes.
  22. Midtown Bob from Toronto, Canada writes: This should be on the Front Page, shame on the G M for burying this important news deep in the website.
  23. The Middle Finger ..I.. from Canada writes: The 0 - 4 Bombers turf their cheerleader coach for mooning Parliament Hill, something all of us would like to do, while the Eskimos employed Warren Moon who "mooned" the entire CFL for 5 consecutive Grey Cups.
  24. ken kolthammer from Canada writes: Me thinks Jim Ray from GTA was an abused alterboy in a previous lifetime.
  25. D. Clearwater from Lethbridge, AB, Canada writes: I think that in this era of digital photography, digital video and digital transmission, we are going to have to quickly realize that EVERYONE actually leads a more racy or saucy life that previously believed or that WE ALL have skeletons in our closet... and that pretending to be some pure and purely innocent individual is a myth from the past. I mean, there are much, much more pressing issues for us to deal with than if some cheerleader moons a camera.
  26. Matt Toma from Vancouver, Canada writes: This is some great exposure for the Blue Bombers organization...
  27. R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: You mean that she actually mooned Parliament Hill... lol

She shouldn't have to resign for that...

Let's all elect her the next Prime Minister for Gawd's sake.
  28. Amguada Kickboote from The Sewage Treatment Plant, Canada writes: The true villain is the person who published them. It was just some kids fooling around and hamming it up among friends. The coach resigned over nothing and I hope they persuade her to come back.
  29. michael morris from Canada writes: If they mooned Parlement, then give them the order of canada.
  30. p m from Canada writes: What a crock!!

political correctness versus the real world!!

The photos show that the girls had a life, rather than just hippity -hopping for the fans!
  31. Mr. Coffee from Victoria, Canada writes: Hmmm, hot women shaking their beautiful, God-given "assets" at the chief clowns running our country...

PM Harper must have been hangin' with the Church Lady. We'll isn't that S-TH-PECIAL!
  32. John Williams from Canada writes: What are you folks talking about?
These pics are pornographic, and there are probably a lot more of them, thus the resignation.

Of course in reality, the stuff that goes down in hotel rooms on the road with cheerleaders and the football teams are beyond what a newspaper can print. Just imagine if some of those photos got out.

Cheerleading is just glorified stripping these days. People have no idea of what goes on out there.
  33. John Williams from Canada writes: It's weird how many women literally seem to have nothing better to do that to expose their private parts on camera? That is the definition of exhibitionism, on assumes, and Attention Seeking.

Have a look at all the pics before you comment.
Its a compulsion to drop their pants and tops in public.

If a man did it, he would be arrested.

These women do it, and you are giggling.
    Sexism!

Seriously, these women need to see a psychiatrist, and explore their pathological cravings for Attention at all costs, and exhibitionism. They are no different than some werid pervert guy dropping his pants in public, a Flasher. Same thing.
  34. S.L. S from Western Canada, Canada writes: With regards to the one cheerleader cupping the others breasts, they may want to tread softly with this one as to not offend the gay and lesbian community. Maybe they're lesbians and were just showing affection? Mind you if I (a man) had done that to my wife in public, I believe the charge would be rape or something like that. As for mooning parliament, isn't that a national past time lately, or was that just urinating on war memorials, I can't remember.
  35. Steve Church from Canada writes: Cavorting around like that. What they should get is a good spanking.
  36. John Williams from Ajax, Canada writes: Seriously, the double standard is ridiculous, and even the article isn't accurate. There are photos of the entire cheerleading team bending over, and doing lipstick lesbian sex acting out, on beds, etc.

If a man drop his pants and exposes himself, he gets arrested, which is correct. That's illegal.
But if a woman does it, its ok?

Joking aside, just as many women are involved in the sexual abuse of young boys at schools for example, but until recently that has been covered it. That is the double standard.

So of course the coach should have lost her job for this. It is posted elsewhere that she was in some of the other pics.

If a player had pics surface of him pulling down his pants and exposing himself, they might press charges.
The same standard should apply to these "ladies".

They have disgraced the uniform of the team, but engaging in those sex actions in uniform. There are probably hundreds of other photos yet to come out.

Hey, if these women want to be strippers, go get a job as a stripper. There is a stripper shortage anyway, supposedly.
  37. Chris Eaton from Fredericton, writes: Yes, how dare these people put pictures of themselves up for men to oogle... outside of the stadium!

This whole thing is a joke. Cheerleaders have no purpose in the first place except to be eye candy. Suddenly people are upset that they're still eye candy, just elsewhere?
  38. Bill H from Maritimes, Canada writes: These pictures are the only good thing going for the Bombers this season.
