The eight-game series of Bills games being held at Rogers Centre has long had its opponents amongst the fans of the CFL, and now the players have joined in.
Four Argos players appeared on TSN's 'Off The Record' on Tuesday and didn't hold back when it came to giving their opinions on the matter.
"I definitely hate the idea of Buffalo coming up here," said defensive end Jonathan Brown. "I mean, they're stepping on our turf. This is our turf - this is the CFL. They definitely have no business coming up here."
Quarterback Kerry Joseph concurred with his teammate's feelings, saying: "I think it can hurt the market here. There's enough professional teams here, we don't need another one."
His rival for the starting spot under centre, Michael Bishop, was under no illusions as to why the idea has come to fruition.
"I think it's all about the money. If you can make money, make money," he said. "But a lot of times you think about that fast money and how much you can make and you forget about all the little things. You forget about the CFL players. You forget about the Argonauts."
And that led Brown to question his team's future in Toronto.
"That would really hurt the CFL to have the Toronto market out of business," he warned. "So I think that they are teetering on losing the team. You never know what happens in five or six years."
But all the players were quick to emphasize that they are not against the four-down game, but they felt it has its own market, and that isn't north of the border.
