Edwin Elbert from Kemptville, Canada writes: I love shopping via Amazon. No nagging sales people, no membership fee (Costco). Prices are always better than big box and they have live 24 hour customer service. I once had to call in order to combine two orders to get the supersaver no fee shipping. I dialed the number from my computer and a real person phoned back in under a minute. Granted it was 2:00 am on a Friday night.
I'm not sure about saving gas on larger scale being that the items are delivered express post. I agree wholeheartedly that it sure saves time and gas on an individual level from having to drive from one suburban auto mall to another to try to save a few bucks our crappy consumer goods.- Posted 23/07/08 at 8:04 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Joseph Whistle from Canada writes: Amazon.com has much better prices than Amazon.ca.
Amazon.com doesn't offer free shipping, and I've had two products from the same store charge me shipping twice, even though they "thought" it should only be paid once.
I like Amazon.com, but I hate their wishy washy fiddling with shipping costs.- Posted 24/07/08 at 9:44 AM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Too bad amazon.ca is not really Amazon. Sadly, due to Canadian book regulation, Amazon cannot sell in Canada.
So we don't get the good prices. Our Amazon.ca is actually canadapost.- Posted 25/07/08 at 9:38 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment
