Gas police could use refresher course
There was a time, not too long ago, when SUV drivers had the gall to complain about the price of gas. Worse, most of the rest of us were complicit enough to sympathize with them.
It took $100 (U.S.) oil for that to start to change, proving that nothing stimulates behaviour modification like the price point. Now, anyone who dares gripe about the cost of filling up is considered part of the problem.
In Eastern Canada, we're even more hooked on foreign oil than Americans.
