Ontario asks Ottawa for Pan Am decision
TORONTO — Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty says he needs to know in the next few days whether the Harper government will kick in any funding to help Canada win a bid to play host to the Pan American Games in 2015.
However, federal officials say they need more time to decide because the business case made by the province was put together too hastily and is short on important details.
