WINNIPEG — Two men have made a grisly discovery on the Lee River east of Winnipeg — a body stuffed into a plastic barrel.
George Knight, 69, says he and a friend found the barrel Wednesday on the river shore in the community of Fishers Grove near Lac Du Bonnet.
When they opened the barrel, they found a man's body wrapped in thick plastic.
Mr. Knight says the dead man was wearing brown jeans and was barefoot.
He says he called RCMP right away and waited for police to arrive.
The Mounties say an autopsy is under way and the man has not been identified.
