John S from packalunchville, Canada writes: They beat a good Calgary team and were full marks for their performance. Winnipeg had all their receivers working and still have to make room for Stegall's return. Roberts needs some toss plays outside to open up the middle. Both defences deserved better fates. I got the sense the refs were making up for last weeks mess in BC with some pretty cheesy calls on Calgary.

R Miller from Halifax, Canada writes: Egads!
Now, I'll have to listen to EJ Ravensbud's gloating ...
I think I'll go read the Tofu story instead... It's less painful.- Posted 25/07/08 at 1:30 AM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Steve Church from Canada writes: Burris was player of the game ... and Dinwiddie was player of the week. Malveaux's interception looked like a magic trick, eh? What a heckuva slice of entertainment. Typical CFL game - when it's over you're looking for the writers' names in the credits. Good to the last catch.

Another Opinion from Canada writes: Great game. Monster finish.
I guess I can't call him "Dimwitted" anymore.
The CFL has had some humdingers pretty early in the season.
Now if I could convince Edmonton to give us back Pre in a straight-up trade for Vander-loser, I'd be all set!- Posted 25/07/08 at 9:31 AM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Dr Demento from Canada writes: After the Grey Cup game Dinwiddie's nickname was "Dintwindiddie". That will have to be changed now . . .

wayne powers from saskatoon, writes: The kid was very good, but now what happens to Glenn. I remember how fast Khari Jones went from penthouse to outhouse, is this the case with Glenn. It was a great game and deserves to be the top story, not some crap about soccer.
Has there been a dull CFL game yet this year, even when Hamilton beat the Argos it was fun to watch Jesse slam through people. There isn't anything else in pro sports that dollar for dollar is better than the CFL.- Posted 25/07/08 at 9:42 AM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

EJ Ravensbud from Canada writes: Millertime, no gloating, just happy for the win and the great entertainment. Other sports could learn from having fewer games and concentrated entertainment. No floppers in this game, good hits, great catches, what the game is meant to be. Labour Day weekend in the Queen City (Regina to you Easteners) is shaping up to be a classic. Could be a lot of watermelon heads with sad faces.
Note, the Globe didn't highlight the game in their sports section. National paper indeed!- Posted 25/07/08 at 10:36 AM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Philip N from Toronto, Canada writes: Wow, I had a smile plastered across my face at that final touch down and win. Couldn't have scripted a better story. Calgary looked unstoppable near the end and I just assumed another defeat for the bombers. Great game, great entertainment. Good job to both teams!

Patricia Timms from Canada writes: The CFL must have hired a Hollywood script writer.
Each game gets better than the last exciting game. What a LEAGUE!
Nothing in ANY sport is better than this. I'm a baseball nut and never see a ball game anymore if the CFL is on TV. The CFL is the best entertainment in all sports BAR-NONE!
Now how are the Als and the Lions going to top that Stamps/Bombers game in Vancouver tonight?--But bet they will, because the CFL has a magical script writer employeed this year.- Posted 25/07/08 at 12:07 PM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

My Humble Opinion from Canada writes: It seems that every week this season, the CFL demonstrates how brutal the nfl is. What a game. Being a Rider fan I can't stand either of these teams....but they were fun to watch.

Canuck No longer an Expat from Canada writes: Excellent game and a must win for the Bombers. Glad to see that they did come through against a very good Stamps team. The Blue now have three games against the East that hopefully they can win two of three although preferably all three and they will be back a five hundred. They have a LONG way back to get into this race again but there still is plenty of season left.

M Poland from Calgary, Canada writes: Full marks to a very motivated Blue Bomber team. Opinion and Demento--I would not call down Dinwiddie [and yes, I DID say that just last week as well] for I thought he gave his best in the Grey Cup last year in extremely trying circumstances and showed some positive things. So bully for him and the team. What a league, eh? Go, Als, go [tonight]

Ziad Fazel from Calgary, Canada writes: 2 sads and a happy.
Sad that my Stamps lost the chance to play Regina at home next week for Best in the West: The Green Horde will be most disrespectful to us red-clad fans.
Sad that I have been too busy to see the game or highlights yet. I'll hit the TSN website early tomorrow, and see if I can find this elusive scriptwriter of which you all speak.
Happy that Dinwiddie finally had his breakout game, and hope he continues to blow away any teasing of his name. Will be fun to see the next generation of quarterbacks in this league, especially the Dinwiddie v Durant battle on Labour Day.- Posted 25/07/08 at 11:59 PM EDT | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment
