Let children take risks, parents urged

LONDON — Overcautious parents could be stifling their children's development by stopping them from climbing trees or playing conkers because of the risks, a survey indicates. Half of the children polled by ICM said they had been prevented from climbing a tree because it was too dangerous, while one-third had been banned from playing the tag-game British bulldog.
