BEIJING — When the Canadian Museum of Civilization asked a researcher in Beijing to investigate Chinese perceptions of Canada's aboriginal people, the results were a little alarming, although perhaps not surprising. All of the early Hollywood clichés about half-naked savages had been fed to the Chinese people through their own mass media, the study found.
