Nomadic Bedouins face grim future in the Holy Land
KHIRBET UMM AL-KHAIR, WEST BANK When Suleiman al-Hathalin's father arrived in this corner of the West Bank, fleeing war in 1948, he was a wealthy man by Bedouin standards, with camels and sheep and enough money to buy a large plot of land for his extended family.
Today, his family barely ekes out a living and has to accept emergency water and food rations.
