Layton says PM determined to call election
OTTAWA — NDP Leader Jack Layton described his summons to meet the Prime Minister as a “charade” even before the fact, and Saturday's meeting at 24 Sussex Drive appeared to live up to advance billing.
Mr. Layton spoke with Stephen Harper for half an hour at the Prime Minister's official residence but emerged to say absolutely nothing has changed and a fall election call appears imminent.
