Fur flies over guardsmen's hats
A 200-year-old military fashion trend is on the line as an animal-rights group meets today with the British government to discuss perching faux fur rather than Canadian bearskin atop the heads of Buckingham Palace guards.
Activists have long criticized the iconic guardsmen headgear, which stands 18 inches tall and is made from Canadian black bear fur.
