Sherry Cooper Executive Vice-President and Global Economic Strategist, BMO Financial Group Chief Economist, BMO Capital Markets

What keeps Canadian up at night? It's anxiety over money matters, according to a recent national survey commissioned by BMO Financial Group and conducted by Harris/Decima, that includes plenty of entrepreneurs and small business owners, says BMO's Chief Economist, Dr. Sherry Cooper. "We don't know enough about money matters and we don't want to admit what we don't know," says Dr. Cooper, who says BMO wants to help Canadians understand their whole financial situation in a more integrated way.

In this podcast, Dr. Cooper talks to Incubator reporter Diane Jermyn about how the complexity of today's financial issues can overwhelm us and why we are so reluctant to ask for help. She discusses how banks have failed entrepreneurs and small business owners in the past, the frustrations over finding trustworthy financial advice and the new personalized services BMO is rolling out this fall.
