That's a wipe out...No excuse that they missed 9 players...What about the other 8 games in last 10?

Frank Godfrey from Canada writes: TFC is nearing completion of just it's second year in the MLS. However, he outstanding support for this club is not, and should not be, guaranteed . The MLS in not granting TFC some re-scheduling relief for gross absenteeism made a fool-hardy decision. I think it makes the MLS look bush league and lends credence to the criticism of it's detractors. That game was nowhere near worthy of being on National television. It's a good thing the Jays game went 13 innings so TFC fans got to see less than half the match. Small mercy.

A Banana from Canada writes: The fact that we brought in 35 - Diaz Kambere to play right back just shows this management team knows nothing about football.
There are probably about 100 better CSL players than that guy playing in Toronto right now. He had no skills at all, couldn't complete a pass to save his life.
So our young players have to sit on the bench while this guy plays?
Carver and Johnston should be fired.- Posted 07/09/08 at 10:31 AM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Great first half actually to watch but you can see things fell apart in the second half and I went back to napping.
Minute 37...Barrett looks to see if he's offside instead of just nailing the ball into the net...a real striker would never look over to see if he's offside or not...his look over at the official cost us a goal. He wasn't offside and wasted a sure goal by looking at the official instead of the ball.- Posted 07/09/08 at 11:10 AM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

David Powell from Toronto, Canada writes: While disappointing, yesterday's game was hardly surprising. That said, I found the football more fun to watch than many games this season. This "temporary" TFC team showed more energy and enthusiasm, more attacking football, than I have seen in some time. The pace was faster than usual, at least in the first half, and TFC were more aggressively challenging the Chivas ball carriers rather than the hanging back giving them so much time to execute their next move - which appears to have been the team norm. What did the coaching staff tell them before the match? I also thought that Regan played an intelligent and effective game. Maybe he should be back on the pitch instead of scouting.

Sober Second Thought from Toronto, Canada writes: It was a crappy game last night and the fans are getting restless. I am in section 117 and the crowd was at its quietest I have seen, with lots of empty seats in my section. We were louder in Columbus!
What's replaced the cheers, is abusive taunts against our spares -where does that get anybody.
I say two more years of loosing and the TFC phenom is done in TO. Too bad. We had such promise.- Posted 07/09/08 at 4:30 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment

Dave Hunt from Canada writes: Guys...relax.
None of us are happy with what we see on the field with TFC.
Lets not forget that they are a young team in a young league. Things will get better with time but we should keep everyone on their toes---players and coaching staff.- Posted 07/09/08 at 9:07 PM EST | Alert an Editor | Link to Comment
