  1. Keith Conley from Calgary, Canada writes: Good to see Murray in for the finals, he has worked hard for it.
Nadal just did not have it in him to defeat Murray.
The Final will be a good match to watch.

  2. Vijay Kumar from Canada writes: This just goes to show how hard it is to dominate a sport for a long time like Federer has done. But i guess both Nadal and Murray havn't reached the peak form of their life yet, so there is so much to look forward to.
  3. Diane Prigge from Flagstaff, United States writes: Rafael Nadal has so much skill. His talent should have been challenged by Andy Roddick. That would have been a great match to watch..!! I can only watch the US Open on TV so from listening to the way the commentators featured Nadal was not favorable in my opinion. For instance, when the opening came on announcing the US Open the first picture I saw was Roger Federer, but Rafael NADAL is number one in the world so why were the showing the other guy who wants to be number one again? I thought that was unfair to all that Nadal has accomplished! The focus was not on Rafa but on other players the comentators favored. It was biased in my opinion. Everybody wanted to beat Nadal but none of them have the talent that he has. He has not just had a terrific year but a wonderful career!
  4. Davey 08 from Canada writes: Diane - you know why the first picture you saw was Roger Federer? That's because he's the defending champion from the LAST FOUR YEARS.
  5. Antonio San from Canada writes: Murray played very well but in all fairness, Nadal was running on fumes after an amazing season. Most of his balls were bouncing at the service line level and allowed Murray to dictate. His serve lost his bite too. So Rafa gave it all but did not have enough left and should seriously look at his schedule next year because there is no doubt he is not only a clay court player, he has become an all around player and can win the US Open.

Now Murray has progessed mentally this year and will be a tough foe for Federer. His record speaks for itself but was earned on best of 3 not best of 5. Should Federer muster the kind of play that he found against Djokovic, Murray will face an uphill battle because the Swiss is in great shape and would have no difficulties going into a fifth set should he need to and likely come on top.

    Best luck to Roger!
  6. Boca Junior from Canada writes: Just great to see Murray reach his first grand-slam final. He has shown that you can overcome a horrifying experience, (he was in the school during the Dunblane massacre) and channel all your thoughts and efforts to something positive. I wish him continued success.
  7. g h from Canada writes: Federer has been inconsistent at this year's US Open and had a ridiculously easy draw right up to the semifinals, but to his credit he really had his A game going against Djokovic when it counted.
Murray has already beaten Federer this year (in Dubai) but Fed may have still been recovering from mono at that time. Still, Murray has the shotmaking ability, speed, fitness and confidence to get the job done. I'm pulling for Murray but expect to see Federer win in 5 sets. Hope I'm wrong.
  8. al goguen from Victoria, B.C., Canada writes: Davey 08 I agree with your comment. Nadal is a good player but this last match with Murray, he did not look too sure of himself. I am happy to see Murray won the game. He is an excellent player and I wish him the best tomorrow. It's going to be a good game. I like both of them. But Federer better be careful...he can lose a game also. Three cheers for Murray!
  9. g h from Canada writes: Very classy move by Nadal to stop and sign autographs for fans on his way off the court. Most of the losing players grab their gear and head straight into the tunnel without looking up. That's the kind of stuff that builds a loyal fan base.
