ScottishRose A Canadian Ex-pat from Napa, CA USA, United States writes: Yeah, Lorne, but for all those reasons, I love the foursomes. . .lets you see who are the team players, since the Ryder cup is a team sport. . . and who are the eternal prima donas. Especially love how foursomes show up the Yanks for the prima donas some of them forever are. Best ever was Hal Sutton's pairing of Michelson and Woods . . . twice, even. Not to be missed, how they stood at the edge of the greens, many feet apart, and facing in opposite directions, while the EUros were having a ball with their playing buddies. . . Of course, the the awesome duo lost both pairings, and the Yanks overall got whipped . . . what else? And yes, agree that it brings out the human element in the players and golf, although the Euros always, to my mind, seem human, and seem to throughly enjoy the game whenever they play . . . just more so during Ryder Cup.
