Wharnsby: Sharks hire JFJ as scout

The Toronto Maple Leafs landed the San Jose Sharks old coach, Ron Wilson, in the summer, and over the weekend the Sharks hired the Leafs old general manager, John Ferguson Jr., as a pro scout.

The Sharks also hired former Chicago Blackhawks coach Dirk Graham as a pro scout.

Graham was a former teammate in Chicago of Sharks general manager Doug Wilson, and Ferguson's late father, John Sr., was a Sharks special consultant until his death last summer.

  1. Neil Raynor from Canada writes: they WHAT? if he couldn't draft, what makes them think he can scout?
