This nasty, spiteful election is one to forget

From Wednesday's Globe and Mail

And so, this is what it has come down to. "I don't like your leader at all," a metal worker says to the Liberal candidate hoping to overcome Stéphane Dion in what is expected to be a tight race in the Southwestern Ontario riding of Huron-Bruce. "But I hate Harper even more - so maybe I'll vote for you." Such enthusiasm! I am now in my 30th year of covering Canadian elections.
