  1. Robert Baker from NorthWest, Canada writes: There are 2 major elements to a healthy economy that are currently missing or failing
    1 A Surplus in the treasury instead of a deficit. The defense spending is a huge drain on the resources of a country, and really only benefits a few.
    2 Cheap fuel. Commerce is the engine of an economy, and economical transportation is the lifeblood of commerce. Someone once said, "If you want to gather Honey, quit kicking the beehive". Defuse the Middle East, reduce the price of oil!

    Boyd, you got it partially right but it is not from Arthur Burns, rather its from Montee Burns of the Simpson's.
