Zoom's demise leaves thousands stranded

HALIFAX, EDMONTON AND TORONTO — Xander Forsyth was the first passenger to know. The Edinburgh native was packed into a room at the Halifax airport with more than 200 disgruntled Zoom Airlines passengers. Their flight to London had been delayed overnight, ostensibly because of mechanical problems. They'd been late boarding Thursday and then had to wait several more hours. Then passengers were told they'd have to get off.
