I work in downtown Montreal, and since Sept. 11 our lives have changed. We feel the racial tension around us. Just before the attack on the United States, we witnessed terrorism in Ireland - people killing themselves for differences in their religion. Why is it they never resolve this problem? We talk about Muslim fanatics, but we forget others.

Finally, somebody had the guts to show the United States what it is like to be bombed (well, kind of). I am honestly sorry for the totally innocent people on the planes and inside the buildings they hit, but I am also sorry for all the thousands of innocent people killed by the "world police."

The government of President George W. Bush, under the pretext of defending democracy, is proposing legislation that would reduce the freedoms enjoyed by Americans. That is hypocrisy. What I see is everyone's rights going down the democratic toilet and most people are brainlessly cheering it on. That's hypocrisy.
