France wants a suspected terrorist living in Canada returned. Can you imagine the cries of foul play if a suspect held in France were released to house arrest while Canada wanted him to stand trial in Canada? We are truly a third-rate country when it comes to the bleeding hearts who complain when their safety is concerned, but God help us all if one person's rights are impaired by jail time to protect the majority. We are now living in a new world order where rules mean nothing to terrorist. When will our politically correct judges and politicians understand this?

Our lives are filled with so many sorrows, but no one should ever have to go through this. This is supposedly a religious function. I claim ignorance, for I do not know much about life in the Middle East, but I would never in my life think of hurting a fellow human being. I have watched Jews and Palestinians fight for years. Where has it got them? I believe that the Jews have to leave the occupied land, and that the Palestinians have to do their part as well. I'm just sorry that the people in the Middle East think that we are such a real threat.

I'm glad Canadian troops are not going to Afghanistan yet. Prime Minister Jean Chrétien has shown a rational character here, and he has my support. I believe the United States has enough power to bomb and destroy the whole world if it wants. While it has our moral and political support against terrorism, I don't think the United States needs our military help.
