Tickets

The Globe and Mail
September 5, 2002
Don't despair if you're not one of those zealous film-fest fanatics - you know, the ones who have placed their ticket orders months ago and go around holding their catalogues with the reverence monks reserve for illuminated manuscripts. There are still ways to see some great films. You can purchase Advance Tickets at least one day ahead of time from the Festival Box Office located on the first level of the Toronto Eaton Centre (Galas $24.50, other films $13.75). Prefer a little more spontaneity? You can buy Same Day Tickets the day of the screening at the cinema box office if there are any still available (Galas $25, other films $14.50). Theatre box offices open one hour before their first screening of the day. If you strike out at the box office but are determined to see a film, you can join the RUSH line and hope for returns. Since films often run late, or reeled-out film festers change their plans, there's still a decent chance of getting a last-minute ticket, usually five minutes before showtime.
