LONDON From Monday's Globe and Mail

The word “traitor” was heard on the practice courts at Wimbledon Sunday, as men's doubles second seeds Daniel Nestor of Toronto and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia worked out on a court about five metres from where their third-round opponents, 14th-seeded Max Mirnyi of Belarus and Jamie Murray of Britain, were practising.

It came from the mouth of Nestor, joking with Louis Cayer of Montreal, a former Davis Cup captain and all-round Tennis Canada coaching maven who works with Mirnyi and Murray.

Sunday, Cayer was heard telling Mirnyi he had a DVD of Nestor and Zimonjic's victory at Queen's Club three weeks ago to show him.

Murray, the brother of British star Andy Murray, recently signed with his brother's clothing firm, Fred Perry. On Saturday, he and Mirnyi were showcased on Court 1, an unusual doubles scheduling move that testifies to Jamie's popularity.

On Monday, they play second-seeded Nestor and Zimonjic on Court 3. Nestor said Sunday that the match will be “memorable.”
