Thursday: Hamilton (1-2) at Calgary (2-1)
The storyline: The Cats are no longer the free space on the bingo card but they will be in tough without CFL rushing leader Jesse Lumsden. Forty-eight carries through three games has forced Hamilton to put Lumsden on ice this week. Hamilton, which had trouble handling Saskatchewan running back Wes Cates a week ago, will get a stiff challenge from Calgary's duel running threat of quarterback Henry Burris and running back Joffrey Reynolds.
Friday: Winnipeg (0-3) at B.C. (1-2)
Hopefully for the Bombers, their offence will show up before halftime. Their two-and-out attack has killed them the past two weeks, putting scores against Montreal and B.C, out of reach after two quarters. The Bombers have to get running back Charles Roberts more involved to have a chance against the Lions who appear to have cured what ailed them during their season-opening losses to Calgary and Saskatchewan.
Saturday: Montreal (2-1) at Saskatchewan (3-0)
The storyline: The Roughriders are the early surprise this season, getting off to an undefeated start despite losing quarterback Marcus Crandell and last season's top receiver, D.J. Flick to injuries. Former third-stringer Darian Durant will make his second consecutive start after throwing for 347 yards against Hamilton last week. The Als, who lost a tight one to Calgary last week, bring the league's best offence which has been rejuvenated by head coach Marc Trestman and the impact of running back Avon Cobourne.
Sunday: Edmonton (2-1) at Toronto (1-2)
The storyline: No quarterback controversy in Toronto this week. Kerry Joseph gets the start and will apparently stay on the field until he proves he can't do the job. Joseph looked good at times against the Esks as week ago but made some bad decisions. He'll have to cut those down against an Edmonton team that was opportunistic in all three phases of the game in racking up 47 on the Argos a week ago.
