The Toronto Blue Jays produced another miracle ending at Rogers Centre on Tuesday night, rallying for two runs in the bottom of the ninth to edge the Miami Marlins 4-3.

The heroics this time were served up by Edwin Encarnacion, who came up with one out and Josh Donaldson perched at first base and Toronto trailing 3-2.

Encarnacion then swatted a pitch by Miami reliever A.J. Ramos over the wall in centrefield for a two-run shot, his 13th of the year, to win it for the home side.

With the victory, the Blue Jays won for a season-high seventh straight time and evened their record to .500 (30-30).

The victory ruined a solid night for Giancarlo Stanton, the Marlins power-hitting machine who stroked two home runs in the Miami loss, including his second in the seventh inning that put his team up 3-2.

The Blue Jays announced during the game that Scott Copeland will be recalled from Triple-A Buffalo to make a spot start for the Blue Jays in the series finale against the Marlins on Wednesday afternoon.

Copeland will start in place of Aaron Sanchez in order to give the rookie some extra rest.

With Thursday an off day, the Blue Jays plan to keep the rest of the rotation on its regular schedule, meaning Sanchez will not get his next start until June 16 in New York against the Mets.
