The Toronto Blue Jays will begin a three-game interleague series against the Braves in Atlanta on Friday.

Probable pitchers

June 8 – Toronto RHP Kyle Drabek (4-6, 4.35 ERA) vs. Atlanta RHP Brandon Beachy (5-4, 1.87); June 9 – Toronto RHP Drew Hutchison (5-2, 4.35) vs. TBA; June 10 – Toronto LHP Ricky Romero (7-1, 4.02) vs. Atlanta RHP Tim Hudson (4-2, 3.83)

Looking ahead

Interleague play rears its ugly head again with a three-game set against the Braves before the Blue Jays return to Toronto on Monday for a three-game engagement with the Washington Nationals. The Jays were 8-10 last year in interleague play, but are off to a better start in 2012, having taken two of three from the New York Mets last month. The Braves will be staging alumni weekend at Turner Field – and it will also be a celebration of sorts for the Blue Jays. On Saturday, the Braves will honour the 20th anniversary of the team that won the National League pennant. That team lost in the 1992 World Series to the Jays, of course.
