Raptors release Douby

Little-used guard gets let go

The Toronto Raptors released guard Quincy Douby on Thursday.

He had been on the inactive list since Oct. 28 and did not appear in any regular season games. Douby averaged 3.0 points, 1.7 assists and 10.5 minutes in six pre-season outings.

Douby, who joined the Raptors last March, appeared in seven games with the Raptors last season. He averaged 4.4 points, 1.0 assists and 10.4 minutes a game.

The four-year NBA veteran has averaged 4.1 points, 1.1 rebounds and 10.7 minutes in 143 career games with the Raptors and Sacramento Kings.
