Five NHL games to watch Add to ...

Senators at Bruins – Ottawa needs to bounce back after Saturday’s weak showing against the Maple Leafs. Boston has a game in hand on Ottawa and two on Toronto in the battle for fourth place. You can bet the Leafs will be cheering for the Sens in this one. Tuesday, 7 p.m., NESN, TVA.

Sabres at Penguins – Thanks to his broken jaw, Sidney Crosby still won’t get to play on a line with Jarome Iginla, although Iggy was with Evgeni Malkin in his Pittsburgh debut. If the Sabres lose, it could push GM Darcy Regier into action on trade deadline day. Tuesday, 7:30 p.m., TSN2, RDS2, NBCSN.

Oilers at Flames –This is among a bunch of games involving the six teams fighting for the last playoff spot in the Western Conference. Calgary isn’t included in the fight but would love to damage Edmonton’s hopes with a win. Wednesday, 10 p.m., Sportsnet West.

Wild at Kings – Minnesota was the second-hottest team in the NHL by the weekend and is fighting Vancouver for the Northwest Division lead. Los Angeles needs a win here to stay in the fight for fourth in the conference. Thursday, 10:30 p.m., NHL Network U.S., Fox Sports North, Fox Sports West.

Blue Jackets at Blues –This game is huge for Columbus’s playoff aspirations. A win is needed over eighth-place St. Louis as there are six teams in the fight. Friday, 8 p.m., Fox Sports Ohio, Fox Sports Midwest.
