The Ottawa RedBlacks have released veteran wide receiver Paris Jackson.

The former CFL West all star had just six receptions for 34 yards over eight games with Ottawa this season.

Prior to signing with the RedBlacks in March, the Vancouver native spent 11 seasons with B.C and helped the Lions win two Grey Cups (2006, 2011).

He was a division all-star in 2008, when he had 1,180 receiving yards on 76 receptions. He had his second straight 1,000-yard campaign in 2009 with 1,042 yards in 17 games.

In later seasons he was reduced to a backup role with the Lions before being released by the team in February.

The RedBlacks also released international wide receiver Tim Maypray and international defensive back Seth Williams.
