The Saskatchewan Roughriders have locked up another veteran member of their defensive core, signing defensive end Ricky Foley to a contract extension Thursday.

The move comes a week after the Riders re-signed all-star defensive tackle Tearrius George.

Foley, a six-foot-three 245-pound native of Courtice, Ont., matched a career high last season with 12 sacks while adding 54 defensive tackles.

The 32-year-old was named the Riders' most outstanding Canadian for the 2014 campaign.

Foley was eligible to enter free agency on Feb. 10.

He has won three Grey Cups over his eight-year CFL career – with B.C. in 2006, Toronto in 2012 and Saskatchewan in 2013.
