Kyle Quinlan made sure the McMaster Marauders stayed perfect.
The fifth-year quarterback was 25-for-36 passing for 340 yards and two touchdowns and also ran in another score as No. 1 McMaster defeated the No. 5 Queen's Gaels 33-20 in Canadian university football Saturday.
Robert Babic was Quinlan's top target on the day, catching nine balls for 104 yards and a TD, while Ben O'Connor caught three passes for 62 yards and a touchdown for McMaster (4-0).
Brad Fochesato caught four passes for 92 yards, while Declan Cross rushed for 132 yards on 17 carriers for the defending Vanier Cup champions.
"This was a big win, but the locker-room is not satisfied with it. We had troubles in the second half and that's frustrating," said Quinlan. "The end result was good, Queen's is a real tough squad and winning gives us an inside track, but we have to get back to work."
Queen's quarterback Billy McPhee was 29-of-46 for 320 yards and touchdown for the Gaels (3-1).
Justin Chapdelaine had seven catches for 70 yards and a TD, Giovanni Aprile caught six passes for 103 yards and Ryan Granberg rushed 20 times for 103 yards and touchdown.

O'Connor then hauled in a 50-yard pass from Quinlan with 39 seconds left in the half to give the Marauders a 19-point edge heading to the locker-room.

After a Queen's rouge in the fourth, Chapdelaine and McPhee hooked up on a nine-yard TD in the fourth before the Gaels rounded out the scoring after McMaster conceded a team safety with three seconds left on the clock in the fourth.
