Reigning U.S. Women's Amateur champion Jennifer Song has confirmed her participation at this year's CN Canadian Women's Open in Winnipeg.

The 20-year-old amateur golf sensation is coming off a fifth place finish at the NCAA Women's Championship and will be part of the U.S. Curtis Cup team which will take on a team from Britain and Ireland this weekend.

In 2009, Song became only the second person to win two USGA titles in the same year. She also finished as the highest ranking amateur, tying for 13th, at the U.S. Open.

Song will be joined at the St. Charles Country Club in Winnipeg by 15-year-old amateur standout Alexis Thompson, currently ranked number one on Golfweek's Women's Amateur Rankings.
