ECCO, which helped pioneer the hybrid street golf shoe, introduces its new men’s Tour Hybrid model, the first-ever crossover shoe featuring a classic leather upper design atop the company’s award-winning Street outsole.
By combining hand-crafted elegance with advanced shoemaking technologies, ECCO has created a style which uniquely and seamlessly transitions from the boardroom to the car to the country club.
Suitable for business and casual settings, Tour Hybrid boasts a patented outsole configuration of approximately 100 molded traction bars and 800-plus traction angles. Constructed from TPU – a highly durable, wear-resistant material – these elements provide superior grip in all conditions.
The new Tour Hybrid also features three distinct upper patterns and several color options to suit a variety of looks; Supremely weather resistant Hydromax leathers; Lining made from Second Skin – the world’s softest leather – which wicks moisture and creates a rich interior feel; and removable ECCO Comfort Fibre System insole increases air circulation and creates a fresh, cool shoe climate
While the Tour Hybrid models will begin shipping to U.S. retailers later this year (with a suggested retail price of US$190), expect to see them in Canada in the first quarter of 2013.
ECCO has also expanded its BIOM Hybrid collection to include new colours and upper patterns for 2013.
Combining patented ECCO Natural Motion and Golf Street outsole technologies, it pairs the body’s system for absorbing impact with a non-cleated shoe bottom that provides superior durability, comfort, traction and stability on or off the golf course.
Initially developed for the premium running market, Natural Motion technology provides exceptional insole support and encourages players to land more toward the mid-foot than heel.
Naturally soft, smooth, breathable Tibetan Yak leather uppers have been treated with Hydromax for superb weather protection while the triple-component ECCO Comfort Fiber System insole guarantees a cool, dry shoe interior.
