Yani Tseng has decided to make a change to try and shake herself out of the slump she finds herself in this season.
The world number one and her caddie, Jason Hamilton, have parted ways following Tseng's latest struggle at the U.S. Women's Open last weekend.
Hamilton, who was on the bag for Tseng's 16 worldwide wins over the last two years, said he was not surprised by the decision adding things had been "weird" for the last few weeks.
After winning three times to start the year, Tseng has missed one cut and failed to finish higher than 50th in her last three starts. She hasn't broken par in her last 11 rounds dating back to the ShopRite LPGA Classic. After sitting at 2-over par through the first two rounds of last week's U.S. Women's Open, Tseng finished the weekend with back-to-back rounds of 6-over 78.
According to Golfweek, Hamilton has already lined up his next gig. He'll be on the bag for PGA player Danny Lee. It's the second time the two have worked together with the pair winning the 2008 U.S. Amateur.
Tseng has yet to decide who will be her new caddie. She is expected to play at the Evian Masters in France in two weeks time.
