Keegan Bradley and Luke Donald

Luke Donald is among five nominees listed for PGA Tour Player of the Year.

The world number one is joined on the ballot by PGA Champion Keegan Bradley, FedEx Cup winner Bill Haas, Webb Simpson and Nick Watney.

Donald had a pair of wins and led the Tour with 14 top-10 results while his stirring victory in the final Fall Series event of the season at Disney solidified his hold on the 2011 money title. The Englishman is likely to become the first player to win the money title on both the PGA and European Tour this year. He leads Martin Kaymer by more than $1-million with five official events remaining.

In his first season on the Tour, Bradley also won twice including his first major, the PGA Championship. However, he only had four top-10 results and finished 20th on the FedEx Cup chase and 13th on the money list.

Simpson had two wins this year including a playoff win at the Deutsche Bank Championship, one of the four FedEx Cup tournaments. His two playoff losses were among his 12 top-10 finishes and he finished runner-up in both the FedEx Cup and money list in 2011. His victory at the McGladrey Classic is what prompted Donald to enter the final official event of the season at Disney, setting up a showdown for the money list title.

Haas had seven top-10 results including a dramatic win at the Tour Championship to clinch the FedEx Cup title and the $10-million bonus.

Watney had a pair of wins including the World Golf Championship event at Doral and another 10 top-10 results on his way to finishing third on the money list.

Noticeably absent from the ballot is Steve Stricker, Bubba Watson and Mark Wilson, all of whom won twice on the Tour in 2011. Haas is the only player listed who has just one victory but he did have two playoff losses among his seven top-10 results.

Bradley is also among six players nominated for Rookie of the Year honours which includes Masters champion Charl Schwartzel, Chris Kirk, Scott Stallings, Brendan Steele and Jhonattan Vegas.

Tour officials elected not to submit any candidates for comeback player of the year this time. It will be the second time in three years there is no recipient. Stuart Appleby won the award last year.

Players will vote for the winners with final results announced the week of December 12th.

The PGA delayed distribution of the ballot for two weeks following Donald's victory at Disney after determining that the WGC event in China counted as an official event. While the money won at the event was not official, if a PGA Tour player won the tournament it would count in his season totals.
