Chicago Blackhawks centre Jonathan Toews has been activated from the injured reserve.
The Chicago Blackhawks will have Jonathan Toews and Patrick Sharp in their lineup Tuesday night when they take on the Vancouver Canucks.
The two forwards were activated from the injured reserve after missing time because of wrist injuries.
Toews was injured on Jan. 20 when Florida's Erik Gudbranson slashed him as he was trying to take a shot.
Sharp also took a slash. His injury came from Detroit's Jiri Hudler while scoring a goal on Jan. 8 and missed Chicago's last eight games.
Toews goes into Tuesday second in the NHL with 27 goals, and ranks second on the Blackhawks with 50 points. Sharp, meanwhile, is tied for second on Chicago with 20 goals and ranks fourth on the club with 40 points.
Because of the injury Toews was forced to miss the all-star game in Ottawa.
Tampa Bay Lightning defenceman Victor Hedman is back after missing 13 games because of a concussion.
Hedman was in the lineup for Tuesday night's game against Washington. He was hurt on Dec. 27 against Philadelphia by what Tampa Bay general manager Steve Yzerman called a clean check.
Also rejoining the Lightning on Tuesday were forwards Ryan Shannon (knee), J.T. Wyman (hand) and Tom Pyatt (leg).
The Lightning recalled left wing Pierre-Cedric Labrie from Norfolk of the AHL.
