Lee Stempniak scored twice and Corey Schneider made 22 saves, helping New Jersey to the road win.

Stempniak got his 13th goal of the season in the first period and then added another on a redirected shot in the third. Jacob Josefson also scored for the Devils.

The Jets’ lone goal was scored late on the power play by Dustin Byfuglien, his 12th of the season.

Schneider improved to 22-14-5 on the season, while Winnipeg’s Connor Hellebuyck made 13 saves.

Winnipeg’s Mathieu Perreault left in the first period with a lower-body injury after being hit by Devils forward Tuomo Ruutu.
