The Edmonton Oilers have played more than 1,800 games at Rexall Place, which opened in 1974 as the Northlands Coliseum; Wednesday night's game, which they won 6-2 against the Vancouver Canucks, was their last. Rogers Place, which is still under construction, will be their new home next season.
Here's Marty Klinkenberg's report on last night's game and the emotional postgame ceremonies, which featured 130 Oilers alumni, including Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier.

I grew up in these two seats. And I wouldn't trade the experiences for anything. #FarewellRexallPlace pic.twitter.com/yaNjNJ6JId
