Now that Hockey Canada has named Lindy Ruff as head coach for Canada at the 2009 world championship in Switzerland next month, as well as assistant coaches Barry Trotz and Dave Tippett, the first wave of player announcements soon will be made. Expect Tampa Bay Lightning rookie centre Steven Stamkos, Los Angeles Kings freshman defenceman Drew Doughty and Ottawa Senators forward Dany Heatley to be among the group of players suiting up for Canada this spring.
