There's not much of a setup needed for this one. Just watch the video:
That was Finland's Mikael Granlund, a Minnesota Wild ninth overall pick in last year's draft, scoring the opening goal at the world championship semi-final against Russia.
My favourite part is the stunned looks on the faces of, well, pretty much everyone in the building. And the play-by-play guy's pretty excited, too.
Goal of the year? Could be.
Granlund is only 19 years old and listed at 5-foot-10 and under 180 pounds but with hands like that, here's betting he makes an impact in the NHL at some point.
Surprisingly, he had only eight goals in the Finnish league this season, but he's been one of the Finns top forwards at the worlds so far. Up 3-0, it appears they'll win that game and face Sweden in the gold-mdeal game.
