Here are a few stats breaking down the teams still alive in the NHL playoffs, including average age, height, weight and the number of Canadians. I've only included skaters, not goaltenders, given they shouldn't really influence the size numbers anyway:

(Just to add to the Canadian content section, only two of these teams -- Pittsburgh and Vancouver -- have Canadian starting netminders (Fleury and Luongo). We're continuing to see a very big influence from Europeans in goal -- and two Americans in Brian Boucher and Jim Howard.)

The Sharks are the biggest team in the league, so that weight figure shouldn't surprise, but how about the Flyers as the smallest average team in terms of beef?

Detroit, meanwhile, has been the oldest team in the playoffs every year I've put this together. Never seems to hurt them.
