1. Adjustments: Odd-man rushes, easy entries into the offensive zone, and an active defence jumping into the action. The Canucks need to shore up their deficiencies from Game 4.
2. Ryan Kesler and Alex Burrows: They are being leaned on as penalty killers, and Kesler's line has important defensive responsibilities against Jonathan Toews's line. Still, Vancouver's third- and fourth-best forwards have yet to score in this series, and they're developing reputations as postseason passengers.
Blackhawks
1. Discipline: The Hawks have gripes with Canucks defenceman Kevin Bieksa, who beat up an unwilling Viktor Stalberg in a nasty Game 4, and winger Raffi Torres, who leveled Brent Seabrook with a thunderous check in Game 3. If the end is nigh, things could get ugly. Until then, the Hawks have to resist the urge for retribution.
2. Dave Bolland: The third-line centre had four points, and dominated the Sedins, in his playoff debut Sunday. "We need to realize, he's a really good offensive player," Daniel Sedin said. "That's his main strength, I think. We need to play him like we play Toews and [Patrick]Kane and [Patrick]Sharp."
