A couple weeks back we asked three friends to participate in a little prediction game. When would the Raptors catch the Leafs in victories was the query.

Kibble King was just off the mark. He expected both teams to have 10 wins on Dec. 1st. When the clock struck 12 this morning the Raptors and Leafs were tied, but with nine victories apiece.

The Bay Street Bully was very creative in his calculation. He felt that the Leafs tailspin would find them with only seven victories before they flew to Dallas for their game on Nov. 23 and that the Raptors would win their outing in Big D on Nov. 20, thus matching their hockey counterparts. Close, but no cigar because the Leafs surprised everyone by collecting two points in a game against their provincial rivals Ottawa Senators two weeks ago.

The gold star goes to our highly volatile Leafs fan, the Mortgage Man. He pegged it right on with his Nov. 28th forecast. When the Raptors beat the Memphis Grizzlies last Wednesday, it marked their eighth win and brought them even with the Leafs at that time.

What does the Mortgage Man win? He'll get a pair of Leafs playoff tickets this spring and an autograph from his favourite player, Andrew Raycroft.
