Unrestricted free agent Matt Halischuk and the Winnipeg Jets agreed to a new contract on Friday.

As per club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The 25-year-old appeared in 36 games with the Nashville Predators during the 2012-13 season. In that time, the winger scored five goals with six assists and had 10 penalty minutes. He also played two games for the American Hockey League's Milwaukee Admirals, where he had two goals and an assist.

Halischuk has 25 goals and 29 assists in 157 career NHL games split between the New Jersey Devils and Nashville.

He was originally drafted by New Jersey in the fourth round, 117th overall, in the 2007 NHL Draft.
