Last night’s loss to Philly looked an awful lot like many other Leaf games this season: a terrible start, punchless power play, key faceoffs lost and a chorus of boos from the home fans. The only new twist was the apparent hurling of waffles on to the ice surface in the dying minutes of the game. I’m sure there’s a deeper message there, but for now we’ll just let the Internet have fun with it.
There’s not a whole to say about this team at the moment, so instead I’ll throw out a few questions I’ve had on my mind that you can discuss amongst yourselves: Why is John Mitchell still getting playing time? Is there really a need for a team with so many offensive challenges to dress Colton Orr? What the hell happened to Brett Lebda?
The Montreal Canadiens come to town Saturday night. Let’s hope it stays competitive.
