The man of many injuries, Tim Connolly, is out again for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

And the team is expected to call up a body from the minors to replace him in time for Tuesday's home game against the Florida Panthers.

Connolly was absent at practice on Monday and coach Ron Wilson told the media the oft-injured centre would miss between 10 days and two weeks with an upper body injury.

Connolly missed the first eight games of the season with a shoulder injury.

"It's totally unrelated to the earlier injury," Wilson said. "He got hurt in the game the other night [against Boston] I said it's upper body; I'm not going to get into specifics. He got hurt on the first penalty kill; he left the ice for a bit and then he felt okay.

"He played regularly in the game and I didn't even think about it until I got an email yesterday that he was going to be out 10 days to two weeks ... We'll probably call somebody up."

Tyler Bozak is expected to fill in for Connolly on the top line between Joffrey Lupul and Phil Kessel.

The most likely candidate to be called up from the Marlies would seem to be youngster Joe Colborne, who leads the AHL in scoring with 19 points in 12 games and had good chemistry with Joey Crabb earlier this season. Other possibilities include Matt Frattin, Darryl Boyce, Nazem Kadri and Mike Zigomanis.

(UPDATE: The Leafs recalled Frattin late Monday afternoon.)

- Wilson said Jonas Gustavsson is likely to get the start in goal against Florida. "He's been playing really well," he said.

- Defenceman Luke Schenn will return to the lineup after sitting Saturday's debacle against the Bruins as a healthy scratch. "We had been playing a lot of games and he had lost his grip, I guess," Wilson said. "Sometimes sitting out, watching a game from the press box with an assistant coach and seeing some of the plays that are there and how easy it is enable them to reset and get out there with a fresh approach."

- Nikolai Kulemin's slow start, with two goals and six points in his first 14 games, is beginning to get more attention from the media, but Wilson said he felt it's been more bad luck than anything holding him off the scoresheet.

"That line over the last five or six games has scored a lot of goals and played really well," he said. "So I'm not overly concerned. He's like any other guy who scores in this league; they have their downs where the puck doesn't go in the net and then suddenly, in four or five games, you've got six goals when it didn't look like you'd ever score again."

- James Reimer wasn't on the ice at practice as he continues to recover from concussion-like symptoms, but I did see him in the dressing room briefly, where he was breaking in a pair of new skates.

- Wilson has a couple movie picks in the audio below if you're really desperate to know what the Leafs coach did on his day off on Sunday. (Odd what comes up in these scrums some days...)
